Camara Lee Murphy

Camara Murphy, 30, passed away April 18, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born in Des Moines on September 5, 1984, to Kelly and Peggy (Walker) Murphy.
Camara loved her computer and her favorite thing to do was going out to eat, especially to a buffet. She enjoyed being pampered and getting her fingernails painted. Above all else she treasured the time she spent with her family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ben Collins who went above and beyond, as well as the many nurses who were like family and who cared for Camara over the years, especially Vanessa Harris, Cindy Dunn, Linda Woods, and Diona Brown.
Camara is survived by her parents, Peggy & David Kimmel, and Kelly Murphy; siblings, Heather Conner, Kelly Murphy, Kayla Kimmel-Gaytan, Zachery Murphy, David Kimmel II, Alexis Kimmel, Kimberley Kimmel, and Ashley McClintock; step-sister, Amber McClintock; grandpas, Harry Walker, Albert Pilkington, and James Murphy; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, as well as other loving relatives and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmas, Carolyn Pilkington and Judy Murphy; great-grandma, Margaret Smith, and many other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
In loving memory of Camara, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

my beautiful daughter you know I will miss you so as bad as I wanted to keep you here with me I knew I had to let u go I told you before you died that when you left you would take my heart with you I feel so empty inside without you here I find comfort in knowing that you are no longer in pain not struggling to breathe that you are flying high in the sky as an angel our family is wounded but not broken i know that we will all see you again until then you know I love you love mom.
