Terry Erickson, 66, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at his home with his wife by his side. He was born on October 10, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa. Terry moved from Clinton at an early age, relocating to Des Moines. Where he began work for Rhodes Trucking in Van Meter. He enjoyed fishing, racing, watching NASCAR, drinking Old Milwaukee Beer, and spending time with his family and friends. Terry especially loved his two dogs, Paris and Daisy May. Every relationship Terry had made held a special place in his heart, he will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Susan; sons, Terry and Jeffrey; grandchildren, Carolyn, Michael, Jeffrey, Dylan, and Breanna; great-grandchildren, Madison, Lathym, and one on the way; brothers, Bill, Ron, Don, and Denny Stoutenberg; sister, Joyce; mother-in-law, Marjorie Wiley; and a host of extended family and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sandy Howser and Jane Chapman; and brother, Bobby Stoutenberg.

A Celebration of Life for Terry will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines.
