Ronald "Mac" Arthur McIntire

Ronald “Mac” Arthur McIntire, 66, was born September 14, 1948 in Allegan, Michigan, the son of Jack and Ardes (Gibson) McIntire. He passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
Mac is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Joyce McIntire. He is also survived by his children, Gary (Shannon) McIntire, Greg (Cristy) McIntire, Courtney McIntire (Bobby Felice) and Meghan (Chris) Settje; grandchildren, Ian, Mia, Devin, Sydney and Danielle; mother, Ardes McIntire; siblings, Colleen (Ron) Moore, Sherri Pitkin and Jody (Kenny) Mineart; numerous nieces and nephews; other loving relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack McIntire; his great-grandson, Easton and his brother-in-law, Rick Pitkin.
The family will greet friends from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2015 at the funeral home, with cremation to follow.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Ron's family. I am a classmate of Ron's from Fairfield High School Class of 66. We all will miss him, he was such a special person. RIP Ron

Prayers for all of Ron's family at this sad time, from one of his Fairfield High School Class of '66 classmates - and one of his dancing partners! We were so hoping that he would be able to join us for our 50 year reunion next year. We will all miss Ron!
