Janet Kay Anderson, 58, died Thursday, May 21, 2015 at her home in Des Moines. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines.
Janet was born January 8, 1957 to Betty and Loyd Wilson in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She worked for many years at Dollar Tree. She enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles, singing karaoke, dancing, and she taught all the kids to cook. Her family will miss her loud voice when she would “boss them around”.
Janet is survived by her loving husband, Guy; her step children: Daren, Alex, and Ashley; her grandchildren: Dea, Taven, Ella and Axel; her siblings: Judy, Pamela, Loyd, Leroy, her twin James, and Michael; and many nieces, nephews, and a ton of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mark.

It's been a sad week knowing she's gone but not in pain any longer. Ive gotten the privilege to know and be a part of Janets life for the past 12 years. She was a wonderful grandma to my daughter Dea. Ill always love her for being the woman she was. My love goes out to Guy and his children. May she rest easy now.
