Paul Joseph Kniesly was born December 28, 1959 in Elgin, Illinois to Robert Kniesly (Sonja) and Mary Wagner (Charles). He moved to Iowa in 1970 when he was 10 years old. Paul passed away peacefully Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Taylor House Hospice due to lymphoma. He was 55 years old.

Paul enjoyed fishing and working on cars, which he did for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his sister and his grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Ginger; children, Tabatha (Matt), Tracie (Doug), Matt (Trisha), and Michael (Jake); five brothers; eight grandchildren; two nieces; and six nephews.

Memorial service will be 2:30 pm Saturday, May 30 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Paul.
