He then attended Buena Vista College. In 1970 he married Linda Doolittle. They had two daughters and moved to Des Moines in 1974. Roxy worked in the insurance industry for 40 years.

After the passing of his wife Linda in 2010, he became involved with LADOS (Life After Death of Spouse), and became a mentor and speaker to other LADOS members in need of support.
Through LADOS, he met his special friend Janet Tyne. Over the next 4 plus years, they enjoyed each other’s companionship while traveling and spending time with their families and friends.
