I knew Steve briefly during 1986-87 and even though our time together was brief, I compared every other man in my life to him, all falling short. I wish his loved ones peace and serenity knowing he is out of pain, and pride in knowing that Steve affected so many more people than you'll ever know. My prayers go out to you. I'm so thankful that he had so much love in his life.

Steve Sellers,
To the loved ones that Steve has left behind.
You have my deepest sympathy for your loss.
We may have not spoken to each other in decades but I know our early in life friendship shaped us in a positive way.
I was never afraid to be seen with Steve. We hit it off the day we met at John Quincy Adams elementary school way back in the 60's and at Grand View Little League where we were on more than one team and All star team together.
I remember a sweet time in my life when Steve and I would walk to school via Hy Vee day old bakery. A dozen glazed would not be unusual for us before home room. With the smile that runs across my face at this moment I know that he has probably given those around him since then thousands more. Of that I'm sure you wish for more.
Know that he has left footprints in my life.

Steve, you couragously fought a 3 year battle with a nasty disease called cancer.
You never let it get you down saying it could always be worse, you are no longer suffering and unfortunately the worst has come for all that love you as we had to let you spread ur wings and fly home.
You are my hero that continued to amaze me, when we thought you were losing, bam, you were right back up, sometimes stronger then before, I have never known a more strong person as you....you were not going to give up easily....I'm proud to say I'm your sister and that I love you very much. R.I.P. My Brother!
