Arnold Russett, 73, passed away Friday, July 24, 2015 at Bright Kavanagh House. He was born June 9, 1942 Springfield, Minnesota.
He worked as a finish carpenter in North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Iowa. Arnold was also a past Mason. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and went to Sturgis every year he possibly could. Arnold was known to drive ride his motorcycle in any weather except for the snow. He liked target shooting, fishing, and shoeing horses.
He is survived by his children, Adam (Sherry) Russett, and Marriel (Tim) Badgero; and his grandchildren, Billie and Jessie. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, Idor and Myrtle Russett; and brother, Gordon Russett.
Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, July 27, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Arnold.

Adam and family, Arnie will be missed by many here in Ulysses. Always the easy going guy that was ready to help. We will miss him as our neighbor.

Arnie was a great guy. If he was your friend, he was a genuine friend who would give you the shirt off his back. The ole cowboy will surely be missed. He taught my son good work ethics which he continues to have to be successful. Arnie's famous quote 'Do it right the first time!. He lived by this. May God Bless

I know this is such a sudden loss for you all and I wish you comfort in knowing that Arnie touched many lives and enriched many young people with his knowledge while he lived in Ulysses. He leave many friends there as well. We will all miss him greatly.
