Lorraine A. “Rainey” Eldredge

Lorraine A. “Rainey” Eldredge, 79, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2015, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 3, 1936, in Des Moines to Galyn and Anne (Page) Kilgore.
Lorraine was very active in her community and worked many years for the city of Des Moines at the health department and the police station.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Kelli) Story and Lisa Story, and 5 grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2015, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Des Moines.

I had the privilege of meeting Lorraine through the Fairmont Park Neighborhood Association. She was an important part of our effort to support our local community.
