Paul Jon Exline, 67, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at West Houston Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

Paul was born September 2, 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa to Hubert and Claracy (Rhone) Exline. He enjoyed growing up in the Pleasant Hill area. After high school, he married and had two sons, Todd and Ted. He moved to Houston, Texas in 1982 from Granger, Iowa to pursue new employment opportunities. He was employed by and retired from Monarch Pools in Houston. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, making homemade beef jerky while listening to oldies rock-n-roll music, and watching classic westerns and movies. He was a member of NRA and enjoyed collecting and practicing shooting guns. He was a NASCAR and NFL fan, but above all, Paul loved spending time with family.

Paul is survived by his sons, Todd and Ted Exline; brothers, Jack and Jim Exline; sister, Barbara Williams; grandchildren, Terry, Travis, Tamara, and Tori Exline.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Exline; mother, Claracy Rhone; sister, Judy Thomas; and his twin sister, Paulette Exline.

Services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, IA 50309. Family will begin greeting friends at 10:00 a.m., with funeral to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Lorimor Cemetery in Lorimor, Iowa.
