Dean R. Morris, 71, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
Dean was born June 6, 1944 in Allerton, Iowa to George and Doris (Moorman) Morris.
He enjoyed drag racing, trap shooting, guns, and hunting. Dean retired from the SuperValue warehouse and was a member of Teamsters Local Union #238.
Dean is survived by his children, Teresa Curnes, Marcia (Chris) Gruber, and Matt Morris; grandchildren, Jessica Nelson, Sydney Curnes, Megan Morris, Madison Gruber, Samantha Gruber, and Bailey Brewster; sister, Joann Robbins; twin brother, Don (Cindy) Morris; and brothers, Jerold (Cindy) Morris and Harold (Sandy) Morris.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kenny M. Morris and brother-in-law, Rich Robbins.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9 at Sunshine Open Bible Church, 2130 Easton Blvd., Des Moines.

Dean was a kind and Generous man. I loved the Cab Cadet mower he gave me when I moved into my first home. My prayers are with you Marica, Chris and family!
