Janet Stillman
October 07, 2015
Janet Leigh (Clark) Stillman was born November 7, 1962 in Maquoketa, Iowa to Wayne and Tomy Kay (Miller) Clark. She graduated from Iowa State University in 1985 with her BS in Fashion Merchandising. She married Craig Stillman on June 17, 1989 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, now Capitol Hill Lutheran Church.
Janet was an accomplished equestrian, loved gardening, cooking, wildlife of all types, and scenic views. She was a published author under the name Janet Leigh Stillman of the book, “And Not to Harm You.” She adored cats and was a borderline cat lady. She volunteered her time at the Raccoon Valley Animal Sanctuary and Rescue and was an avid Cyclones fan in all areas. Go Cyclones! She was a compassionate, tender-hearted person who will be missed very much.
She is survived by her husband, Craig; brothers, Wayde, Duane, and Jim Clark; sister, Janeen (Russ) Bollhoefer; sister-in-law, Dana Clark; nieces and nephews, Shasta Magill, Kali Bollhoefer, and Josh, Kirk, and Greg Clark; and her favorite cat, Fluffy.
Janet’s wishes were to have a Celebration of Life. This will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Capitol Hill Lutheran Church, 511 Des Moines Street, Des Moines, Iowa. All friends are welcome! Please just come as you are.
Memorial contributions may be directed to PO Box 500, De Soto, Iowa 50069 for even disbursement amongst Janet’s favorite charities including Raccoon Valley Animal Sanctuary and Rescue and Iowa State University, to name a few.
Condolences for the family may be left at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

Craig, Aunt Kay, Wade, Duane, Jim, and Janeen, Sorry for your loss. Janet was a good person and friend, but greatest of all was she was my cousin. Will miss being able to talk about our childhood and the things we liked to do.
