Gloria May Smith, 72, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 at her home.

Gloria was born October 25, 1943 in Osceola, Iowa. She retired from Employer’s Mutual in 2007, after 33 years of service. Gloria enjoyed decorating and remodeling her home. She loved spending time with her family.

Gloria is survived by her children, Donna (Chuck) Beveridge, Diane (Kraig) Haskett, David Smith and Debbie (Chad) Piper; seven grandchildren, Jimmy (Damien Prevo) Wessel, Chad (Kara) Wessel, Hillary Brooks, Andrea (Jay Logsdon) Malloy, KelliAnn Brooks, Taylor Piper and Tiffany Piper; five great-grandchildren, Lilly, Noah, Casen, Charlee and Avery; siblings, Dennis (Kaye) McCloney, Don (Cathy) James and Kathy (Mark Douglas) Lamb; her beloved dog, Sophia; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Listene (McCasland) McCloney; siblings Nelda Thornburg and George “Junior” Lamb; and granddaughters, Ashley and Angel Malloy.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 1 to 3 p.m. with the funeral service following at 3 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
