Rebecca Lynn Haltom, 53, of Des Moines passed away on April 21, 2016 after fighting a courageous battle. Becky was born October 10, 1962 to Harold and Margaret Scott
She is survived by her loving children, Christopher (Kimberly) Haltom, Aaron (Katie) Haltom, and Derek (Brittney) Haltom; seven grandchildren; her mother, Margaret Scott; and siblings, Cindy Bentley, Mike Scott, Doug (Shelly) Scott, and Dave Scott.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Scott.
Becky made many friends on her journey and had the biggest heart.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26th also, at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Rebecca.

I would like to say to Becky's family, I have known Becky for probably 5 years, and she has made such a amazing impression on me. Becky is one of the most loving, loyal, kind, happy, funny, and so courageous women I have ever met. Becky is so loved and will be missed so much. Rest in peace Becky. The Lord only takes the most important people for his flock, he must have needed you for a divine purpose. We will all meet again one day and hopefully theres a casino up there!!!! My condolences to your family for I know you will be truly missed.
