Timothy J. Zepeda

Timothy Joseph Zepeda, 54, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016.

He was born September 16, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa to Richard and Phyllis (Martinez) Zepeda. First and foremost in his life was family. He adored his children and grandchildren and loved watching his grandkids in their sporting events. Timothy attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where he served as an altar boy. He was president of the East Des Moines Junior Wrestling Club for 10 years and coached North Des Moines Girls’ Softball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping and was an avid Raiders fan.

Timothy is survived by his wife of 26 years, Ronda Zepeda; his mother, Phyllis Macken; his three daughters, Jessica (Ross) Guenther, Tigre (Matt) Leichliter, and TyAnn (Brady) Ellis; his three sons, Corey (Cierra) Walker Zepeda, Tory Walker Zepeda, and Chad Walker Zepeda; and his five grandchildren, Chloe Zepeda, Aydan Guenther, Allie Guenther, Taren Leichliter, and Keaton Walker Zepeda. He is also survived by two sisters, three brothers, and many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his fathers, Richard Zepeda and Ronald Macken, father-in-law, Robert Walker, and his brother, Richard “Dickie” Zepeda.

On Thursday, April 28, 2016, there will be a rosary service at 4:00 p.m., followed by visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. On Friday, April 29, 2016, there will be a graveside committal service at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
