Service Details

Kristi Lynn Geneser, born August 10, 1979, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Des Moines, Iowa on May 14, 2016. She was 36 years old.

The only child of Greg and Kathy Geneser and the youngest of three girls, Kristi totally owned our hearts from the moment she arrived.

A 1997 graduate of Saydel High School in Des Moines, Kristi had many accomplishments in her all too short time here. She attended cosmetology school and obtained her esthetician license, she had a highly successful career in modeling appearing in both local and international published media and she was the owner and operator of her own specialty home cleaning business, Kristi’s Beautiful Homes.

On April 20, 2012 she went on a date with the man of her dreams, husband Ryan Jorgensen, and they quickly started their life together, allowing Kristi to add domestic goddess to her many skills and abilities. However, it wasn’t until April 11, 2013 that Kristi realized her true calling with the birth of their beautiful daughter, Olivia Rhiann, her heart and soul. Her entire world revolved around her precious baby and her little family. Her favorite pastimes included cooking and art, but nothing was more important and enjoyed than time spent with her family and loved ones.

Kristi is survived and forever remembered by her daughter, Olivia Rhiann Jorgensen and husband, Ryan Jorgensen; mother, Kathy Geneser; sisters, Lisa (Ray) Darville and Mindy Prine; nephews, Micheal Prine, Nykolas Brown and Lucca Howell; nieces, Jill Prine, Natalie Brown and Madeline Prine; her beloved fur baby, Sassy and many more loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Greg Geneser; paternal grandparents, Jack and Josephine Geneser; and maternal grandparents, Robert and Ann Sanford.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at All Saints Catholic Church in Des Moines, Iowa. A rosary will begin at 9:00 a.m. with visitation following and a Catholic Funeral Mass commencing at 10:00 a.m. There will be a luncheon at the church following services.

Memorial contributions for her daughter Olivia’s needs and education may be made in the care of her husband, Ryan or her mother, Kathy. Online condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.
