Billy Wentz

Billy Lee Wentz, 67, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 9, 1948, the son of James and Betsy Maxine Wentz.

Billy was self-taught when it came to auto body work, you could always find him working on cars or watching car shows. In his spare time, Billy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he especially looked forward to poker night which was held every Saturday.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Ruthie; son, Brian; brother, James (Brenda) Wentz and Jack (Patty) Wentz; and many extended family and friends.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Billy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines, with visitation of friends and family prior to the service, beginning at 12:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Billy.
