Rita Waters

Rita June (Miller) Waters, 71, passed away in Ankeny on May 18, 2016. She was born in Moline, Illinois on June 18, 1944, the daughter of Elbert and Frances Miller.

Rita enjoyed cooking, crafting, and crocheting. She was an avid Cardinals fan.

Rita is survived by her siblings, Allen (Kathy) Miller, Cora Miller, Jean (David) Razor, Dean (Pam) Miller, and Jerry Miller; numerous nieces and nephews; her four-legged furry friend, her cat-Angel.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents; Elbert and Frances (Schnoor) Miller; and her brother, Richard Miller.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m., Monday, May 23, 2016, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association in loving memory of Rita.
