Michael James Farnum, 36, was born March 11, 1980 in Des Moines, Iowa to Joseph and Kathy (Robinson) Farnum. He left this world much too soon on Thursday, May 19, 2016.

Michael loved working for Nielson Plumbing and took great pride in his work. He enjoyed being outdoors with his family and friends, especially riding dirt bikes. Michael always put others before himself when his grandfather got ill he took care of him until the day he had passed away. He will forever be remembered for being a wonderful person, making those around him laugh and smile, and always saw the good in people.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016, also at Hamilton’s, with interment to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Left to cherish Michael’s memory are his parents, Joe and Kathy; brothers, Joe Jr. (Tracey) and Cory (Kacee); his grandmothers, Barbara Robinson and Hazel Farnum; his nephews and nieces, Cheyenne, Cory, Jr., Noah, Codey, Kayla, Cammi, and Joel; as well as many other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Connie Robinson and Orley Farnum.
