Dayle Anne Iverson, 52, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.
She was born September 9, 1963 in Des Moines, Iowa. Dayle graduated from Southeast Polk High School and attended Brigham Young University. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Dayle, “Wakodeaikwe” (Fox Woman,) was a member of the Sac and Fox Nations in Oklahoma and a member of the Fox Clan.
Dayle is survived by her husband, George; daughter, Daylene; adopted mother, Myrtle Keahna of Tama, IA; brothers, Kirby (Patti) Grant of Yuma, AZ, Raymond (Daria) Slick, Jr. of Tama, IA and Charlie (Kathy) Shuckahosee of Toledo, IA; adopted brother, Luke (Robin) Kapayou of Toledo, IA; sisters, Amelia R. Grant of Altoona, IA, Gloria J. (Willie) Grant of Tukwila, WA, Nema (Mike) Riley of Geronimo, OK, Hattie (Dean) Whitebreast of Montour, IA and Mary (Jerald) Sanache, Sr. of Tama, IA; numerous grandchildren and many other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses and Gloria (Poweshiek) Grant and brother, Kyle J. Grant.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 21st at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona, IA. A graveside committal service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 22nd at Altoona Cemetery.
