Joe C. Pinegar

Joseph Carl Pinegar was born December 12, 1929 in Des Moines, Iowa to Wilbur and Clara Pinegar. He passed away at age 86, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, June 26 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 27 at Grace Church, 4200 E 25th Street, with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Viola; children, Steven, Raymond (Sharon), Vicky Pinegar and Nancy (Ron) Aasheim; grandchildren, Kimberly, Kelly, Ray Jr., Valeria, Jessica, Cole, Ryan and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Luke, Wyatt, Brad, Samantha, Logan, Chance, Kayla, Tyler, T.J. and Koda; great-great-grandchildren; sister, Clara “Micky” Hodges; and brother, Russell Pinegar. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Joe E. and Timothy; and grandson, Tim.
