Dale Duane Olson, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, IA, with his family by his side.

Duane served for two years in the U.S. Naval Reserve, working as a radio operator. Following his graduation from college, he worked for Weyerhaeuser Lumber Company in Washington and Idaho for two years. Duane then entered the Augustana Seminary in Rock Island, IL, receiving his Master of Divinity from the Lutheran School of Theology (Rock Island campus) in May 1965.
