Natale "Ned" M. Chiodo

Natale M. “Ned” Chiodo, age 79, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the V.A. Medical Center in Des Moines.

Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will take place at a later date.

Ned was born April 24, 1937 in Des Moines, Iowa to Michele and Rosie Chiodo. He was a lifelong resident of the area. Ned graduated from Dowling High School in 1955 and proudly served in the U.S. Army. Ned worked for Iowa Power and Light for many years. He was an entrepreneur heavily involved in property development, owning multiple properties around the city of Des Moines. He was a member of St. Ambrose Cathedral in Des Moines. Ned enjoyed going out to eat and socializing. He loved dogs, especially German Shepherds, and classic cars. His pride and joy was his ’34 Ford.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Fran, his nephew, Michael, and his niece, Lisa.

Ned was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joseph.
