Lenore Elizabeth Cunningham

Lenore Elizabeth Cunningham, 98, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2016 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.

Lenore was born in Des Moines, Iowa to James and Esther Lenhart. She was a 1936 graduate of Lincoln High School and then began work at Northwestern Bell. Lenore was married on October 18, 1943 in Omaha, Nebraska to Paul Cunningham. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading. Lenore was known for making the most delicious lunches!

Lenore will be greatly missed by her children, John (Nancy), Mike (Judi), and Patti Cunningham; sister, Virginia Bett; grandchildren, Bridget (Jesse) Wallace, Sara, Joe and Paul Cunningham. Lenore was preceded in death by her husband Paul; sister, Margaret Lenhart; and brothers, James and Edwin Lenhart.

There will be a graveside service at Glendale Cemetery at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016.

Memorials may be directed to Mercy Hospice in Johnston or to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
