Craig Eugene Carson, 65, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. He was born June 27, 1951, to Jim and Nancy Carson (Thompson). He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969. He joined the USMC in 1972, with a short trip to Vietnam. After returning, he was employed at Northwestern Bell as a lineman for over 30 years. After retirement, he enjoyed teaching motorcycle classes at DMACC in Ankeny for several years. Craig enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, riding his Harley, and watching the Minnesota Vikings. He also loved his family - wife, Linda, brothers, Lee Carson and Jim (Kristen) Carson, daughter, Rochelle (Merrill) Hoopes, sons, Christopher (Kit) Carson, Zachary Roth, and Joshua (Kendall) Roth, and grandsons, James, Michael, and Conner. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Carson, mother, Nancy Thompson, stepfather, Richard Thompson, uncle, Thomas Carson, and aunt, Mary Anne.
There will be a celebration of life Sunday, October 30th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post in Polk City, Iowa. Condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

I am Craig's neighbor. We chatted from time to time while I was out walking the dogs. He took great pride in his house and yard, always out cleaning up. Always very kind to his animals and live in son. I will miss seeing Craig around. God rest him!!!!
