Clara L. Green, 83, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at home. Clara was born on December 11, 1933 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Clara was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Des Moines. She enjoyed cleaning houses, working on crafts, and going to the casino. Above all, she especially cherished time spent with her family.

Clara is survived by her children, Frances (Bob) Nuzum, Tom, Steve, and Donnie Laurie; step-children, Jimmy, Tony, Johnny, and Danny Laurie; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 34 great-great-grandchildren.

Clara was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Laurie; brothers, Don Woodyard and Teddy Buffington; and husband, Franklin Mills Green.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, January 23, 2017 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 24th held at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, Des Moines.
