Shirley "Nadine" McQuistan

Nadine McQuistan, 87, passed away on March 20, 2017 at her home in Cedar Park, Texas. She was born in Des Moines, on September 4, 1929, the daughter of Leslie and Bernice Smith.

Nadine studied education at Drake University, where she also met the love of her life, Ronald. The two were united in marriage on July 15, 1949 and enjoyed 57 years together until his passing in 2006. Nadine loved to play golf, games of Bridge, watching sports on TV and most of all she cherished her family and grandkids. She was proud to have been nominated and elected as Secretary of the Treasure of the Hills Senior Center in Cedar Park, Texas.

Nadine is survived by her son, Greg (Jeanne) McQuistan of Davenport, FL; her son, Mark (Linda) McQuistan of Winter Garden, FL; her daughter, Jeanne (Jason) Newman of Cedar Park, TX; her grandchildren: Dr. Michelle McQuistan, Scott McQuistan, Dr. Ian McQuistan, Zac McQuistan, Alex Newman, Peter Newman, Emily Newman, her nine great grandchildren and two sisters, LaVon Tyler and Arleen Bumgardner. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Donald Smith.

Private family services will be held and Nadine will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery.
