Foster "Bud" Felton

Foster Wesley “Bud” Felton, age 74, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at his home in Des Moines.

Bud was born August 26, 1942, in Knoxville, Iowa, to Clarence and Odessa (Current) Felton. He graduated from East High School and served in the United States Army. He loved model trains and was a member of the Central Iowa Railroad Club. Bud enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Micheel Scott (Craig) and Michael Felton; step-children, Jim Hale (Sue), Jack Hale (Lisa), Julie Hale (Dan Stork), and Joe Hale (Shelly); 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Peggy Jensen (Jerry) and Rick Felton (Connie); and many other extended family and friends.

Bud was preceded in death by his first wife of 22 years, Darlene Marie Mathews Felton; second wife of 24 years, Shirley Ann Hale Felton; and his parents.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
