Donna Rae (Courtney) Wolver

Donna Rae (Courtney) Wolver was born January 30, 1939, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of John L. and Faye (Farnsworth) Courtney. She passed away peacefully Monday, September 4, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family, at the age of 78.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Cremation will follow. Urn burial will take place at Mitchellville Cemetery at a later date.

Donna is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dick Wolver, Sr.; daughters, Sue (Jack) Strable and Tammie (Dave) Blackburn; son, Dick (Dawn) Wolver, Jr.; ten grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Doodle Courtney and John Courtney; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and two sisters.

Donna’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Abdelaziz Elhaddad, MD and his staff for their loving care of Donna through her final journey.
