Michelle C. Griffiths

Michelle C. Griffiths, 44, of Indianola, IA passed away on September 3, 2017 from injuries sustained in a tragic car accident. Michelle was born on February 26, 1973 in Iowa City to Marcus and Christina Cooney.

Michelle will be remembered for her enduring love and compassion to the many lives that she has touched.

Michelle enjoyed many things in life. Many know of her contiguous laugh. It was very difficult not to laugh as well. One of her many hobbies was photography and refurbishing old furniture. She also loved cooking. Many of people’s favorite food recipes of hers were her famous spaghetti and her Sweet Tea.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Isaac and Jacob; her father, Marcus and his companion Nell Ustler; her mother, Christina and husband Ed Barker; siblings, Bobby, Mandy, Sally and Shawna; niece, Ava; nephews, Michael, Noah and Mason; her ex-husband Brian Griffiths; beloved life-long friend and companion Jack Stout; and many other extended family and beloved friends.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15th at Fort Des Moines Church of Christ, 244 E. Army Post Road in Des Moines.
