Bouakeo Vorasith

Bouakeo Vorasith, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, surrounded by his family.

Bouakeo was born August 15, 1936, in Savannakhet, Laos, to parents, Kim and Don Vorasith. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Bouakeo is survived by his children, Kongchanh Vorasith, Thongvanh Vorasith, Khanhthong Vorasith, Kongmany Vorasith, Bouaphaphom Vorasith, Sivilay Vorasith, Kagvin Vorasith, Khamtanh Vorasith, and Khamphanh Vorasith; 25 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous other extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines. Prayers with the monks will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home at 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
