Rita Ann Okland-Keyser

Rita Ann Okland-Keyser, 82, passed away October 15, 2017 at Unity Point Methodist Medical Center. A celebration of her life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017 at her home.

Rita was born March 5, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri to Thomas and Frances Willard. She retired from the Story City Hospital after many years of service. Rita was an active member of the VFW Post #738 Auxiliary and past president of the Cooties Auxiliary. She had a passion for gardening and loved spending time with her family.

Rita is survived by her children, Laura (James) Moreland, Lynn (Robert) Newell and Lee Okland; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Roccasecca; sister-in-law, Jean Willard; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew Keyser; brother, Paul Willard; and her first husband, Leo Okland.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Lung Association or the Alzheimer's Association in loving memory of Rita.
