Richard McKern

Richard E. McKern, 71, passed away April 24, 2008 at Kavanaugh House. He was born July 21, 1936 in Leon, IA to Wilbur and Virginia McKern.
Richard graduated from Leon High School in 1954 and joined the Navy in 1956 then returned to Leon in 1960.
Graveside services will be 11:00am Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Leon Cemetery, Leon, IA. Visitation will be Monday, April 28, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home.
Richard married Roberta Craig in 1960. From this union they were blessed with five children. Richard C. (Sally) McKern, Ramona (Kirk) Brown, Reene (Tim) Hollingsworth, Rachelle McKern and Rebecca (Steve) Dingman. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert McKern.
