Linda Kay Thompson, 69, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.
Linda was born September 9, 1948, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Naomi (Sales) Gilliam. She treasured time spent with her grandsons and enjoyed quilting, flowers, and tending her yard.
She is survived by her son, Craig Thompson (Patty); grandsons, Dustin and John; sisters Wanda Hollingsworth (Bud), Nancy Oldes (Harold), Phyllis Witt (Dick), and Patty Olson (Nels); brother, Jack Gilliam; and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Naomi Gilliam; husband, Jim Robert Thompson; son, Gunder; and her siblings, Joyce Thompson (Leroy), Tommy Gilliam, Teeny (Everett) Alery; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Gilliam.
According to Linda’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Autism Society of Iowa.
