Ida Denato Dutton

Ida B. Dutton, 86, went hand and hand with the Lord on December 29, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at Taylor Hospice House of Des Moines.

Ida was born on December 26, 1931, to Clifford and Margaret (Shepler) Larison of Des Moines, IA. Ida was raised with her 10 siblings.

Ida retired from Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Ida loved visiting with family and friends, playing Bingo, Prairie Meadows, church, shopping, and her two cats. Her favorite holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas. Ida’s life was full of giving to others in one way or another.

Ida is survived by her seven children, John (Cheryl) Houseman, Steve (Barb) Houseman, Karen Frink, Clifford Heathcote, Susann (Steve) Conway, Tonda (Larry) Brown, and Glenda (John) Biddle; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and her favorite brother, Glen (Jane) Larison. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bobbie Larison and Donald Howe; sisters, Judy Vasey, Genevieve Baldwin and Betty McKenzie; and grandson, Michael Houseman.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
