Melinda Summerlin

Melinda Ilene Summerlin (Sangster), 48, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018, in her home in Des Moines.

Melinda was born April 16, 1969, in Des Moines, Iowa, to James and Linda Sangster. She attended Chipola Community College in Marianna, Florida and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Kyle Summerlin; son, Bryan (Taryn) Wheeler; grandchildren, Jordan, Destinee, Mahaley and Kain; nephews, William Lee, Ryan, Ray and Gregory Sangster; cousin, Melissa Kay (Steve) Maloy and their son, Cayson; and other extended family and friends.

Melinda was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, James and William Sangster.

According to her wishes, there will be no services held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family.
