Karen Hickman

Karen Ann (Hoover) Hickman, 73, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 2, 2018. She was born on December 27, 1944, in Kansas City, Kansas and adopted by Al and Emma Morris. She graduated in 1962 from East High School in Kansas City.

Karen worked at Montgomery Ward, Look Magazine, and retired from CDS after 25 years of service. Karen enjoyed camping, bowling, playing cards, playing the penny slots at the casinos, listening to her son on the drums in the bands he played in over the years and spending time with her family and friends.

Karen met Donald R. Hickman while roller skating, they married on July 28, 1962. She was a devoted mother to their two children Kaleen Lynn and Donald Roger II.

Karen is survived by her husband Don (Popeye), her son Donnie Hickman (Andi Bacon), son-in-law Bud Riddle, grandchildren Robert Riddle, Jared Hickman (Jazmin Robinson) and Rachel Hickman (Tyler Dylan) and many dear friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents Al and Emma Morris, her daughter Kaleen (Kandi) Riddle and her granddaughter Kalee Michelle Riddle.

A visitation at the Mitchellville Christian Church, 210 3rd St NW, Mitchellville will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, February 11, 2018, with the memorial service at 4 pm and a light meal following.
