Dale E. Veber

Dale E. Veber, “almost eighty,” passed away February 17, 2018, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. He was born on February 26, 1938, in Grinnell, Iowa, to Charlie and Edith Veber.

Dale graduated from Kellogg High School in 1956. He was united in marriage to Ruby Sille in 1961, and proudly served in the United States Army from 1961 – 1963.

Dale worked for various companies as a heavy equipment operator and later retired as a postal worker from the U.S. Post Office. He was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to bluegrass music.

Dale is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruby; son, Curtis; daughter, Carmen (Dale); 4 grandsons; his brother, Craig; and a host of other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Donna.
