Ruth Ella Villines

Ruth Ella Villines, 95, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Carlisle Care Center in Carlisle. She was born March 12, 1922 to Lindsey Forrest and Ella Lee Maine Nuzum in Wick, Iowa.
Ruth attended Abraham Lincoln High School in Des Moines and continued to attend frequent alumni meetings of her class. Her husband, Edward Villines, served in combat in the Marines during WWII and she was an active member of the Beaverdale VFW Women’s Auxiliary for a number of years. In addition to working at a variety of jobs, she most recently worked as a health care provider.
She enjoyed crochet and other needle arts, and playing with her many grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory include her loving children, Sharon Villines, Nancy Jack, Jerry and his wife, Linda Little Villines, and Larry Villines and his wife, Cheryl Pasa; grandchildren, Jami Legler, Joel Villines, Jenifer Pawlish, Jason Villines, Joe Villines, Rebecca Barger, Debora Evans, Shannah Albert, and Jason Albert; great-grandchildren:, Mackenzie Legler, John Legler, Colton Villines, Alexa Albert, Jayden Albert, Sarah Barger, Samantha Rae, Katie Pawlish, Josh Pawlish, and Joseph Villines; great-great grandchildren, Grayson Meling and Mattie and Marlie Esquibel; and a host of other family and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dale Nuzum, Paul Nuzum, George Nuzum, Arthur Nuzum, and Lindsey Nuzum.
A private inurnment will occur at Wallace Cemetery in Wick at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to Mercy Hospice of Iowa in loving memory of Ruth.

Jerry and Larry (Beaver) Im very sorry to read of your Moms passing.
Just know that shes definitely in a better place and there is no more suffering and pain. I dont think I knew your sisters, but please pass along my condolences. God Bless all of you.
