Wayne Cummings, Jr.

Wayne Cummings, Jr., 78, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018. He was born June 21, 1939, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Wayne Sr. and Margaret Cummings.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army, completing five tours in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged. In 1988 he met Dianne Head, the love of his life. Then in 1990 on his birthday, they were married. On September 2, 1991, they gave birth to their only son, Michael Cummings, then he welcomed his only granddaughter, Isabella Nicole Cummings into the world on September 12, 2013.

Wayne was always a workaholic. His latest work was as head of security at Adventureland. Other than his love for work, the rest of his heart belonged to his wife, son, sisters, extended family, Daniel Hellmers and Chris Jones, along with his beloved pets, Cleo, Buddy, Princess, and Autumn.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dianne, son, Mike, sisters, Nancy Enos and Martha Cummings and granddaughter, Isabella Nicole Cummings.

According to Wayne’s wishes, there will be no services held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
