Thaddeus Ashwill

Thaddeus Duane Ashwill (TD), age 92, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 at his home at Scottish Rite Park in Des Moines.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, May 26, 2018 beginning at 3:30 p.m., at Scottish Rite Park, 2909 Woodland Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50312.

TD was born January 21, 1926 in Monroe, Wisconsin to Thad and Winnie (Redd) Ashwill. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific. He married Lois Wordell on June 23, 1951 in Brillion, Wisconsin. He was employed as a Structural Engineer for 43 years in Chicago. In his free time he enjoyed golfing.

TD is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lois, his son, Donald (Cheryl), and his grandchildren, Kate (Jace) Hall and Robert Ashwill.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Harold and Max.
