Belva McCann

Belva Alice McCann, 90, was born July 20, 1927 in New Virginia, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Lulu (Wickett) Taylor. She passed away peacefully Friday, June 8, 2018 at Royce City Medical Lodge in Royce City, Texas.
Belva is survived by her son, Kelly McCann; daughter, Kathleen (Daniel) Shemwell; grandchildren, Jessica Stichter, Heather Mason, Lyndsey McCann, Dylan McCann, Lucas Shemwell and Katie Shemwell; four great-grandchildren; other loving relatives and many special friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. McCann; twin sister, Velma McCarty and sisters, Ruth Simmons and Dorothy Clegg.
A memorial visitation will be held 10-11:30 AM Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines, Iowa. Graveside service will follow at 1 PM at the New Virginia Cemetery in New Virginia, Iowa.
