Dorothy Pinnick

Dorothy Jean Pinnick, 87, passed away on June 19, 2018. Dorothy was born on October 4, 1930 to Hugh Curtis Lint and Lula (Sally) White in Collins, Iowa. She has lived in Iowa her entire life.

Dorothy worked most recently as an office clerk at Git N’ Go and previously at Principal Insurance for 20 years. She was also a 50 year member of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; and sons Michael, Ronald, and Patrick, and brothers Don, Harold, and Darwin. She is survived by her children John, Sally, Elizabeth, and Niels; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Dorothy loved animals and is also survived by her last feline, Nikka.


The family will greet friends Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 12 to 2 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 pm at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa in loving memory of Dorothy.
