Virginia Margarete White

Virginia Margarete White, 95, passed away peacefully September 12, 2018, at Fountain West Care Center. She was born December 4, 1922 in Springville, Iowa to Margaret McShane White and Archie White. She received her Master’s degree in Education and retired from the Des Moines Public School System. In her spare time, Virginia enjoyed sports and traveling to Estes Park, Colorado.

She will be greatly missed by her best friend and housemate of 40 years, Bonnie Lewis; a few cousins and a host of dear friends. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 10 am at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 4114 Allison Ave. in Des Moines with a visitation and reception following the service. Private burial will be in Springville, IA.
