David Lee Kline

David Lee Kline, 70, passed away November 30, 2018 at his home.

David was born November 13, 1948 in Chariton, Iowa to Thomas and Doris Kline. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and later in the Army Reserves. David retired from RR Donnelley after many years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a blonde haired, blue eyed, bow legged, dimple faced, dancin’ doll.

David is survived by his children, Angie Bubak and Shane (Raven) Kline; grandchildren, Chase, Blake and Macy Bubak and Alaina and Brooklyn Kline; great-grandson, Odin Bubak; siblings, George (Joyce) Kline, Cyndy (Nick) Miller, Pamela Kline, Leora (Delano) Johnston and Josephine (Dick) Ace; sister-in-law, Linda Kline; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Kline; sister, Shirley Saffell; and brother-in-law, Darrell Saffell.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2018 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. David will be laid to rest with military honors at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Eagles Lodge in loving memory of David.
