Service Details
Melody Lees, 8, passed on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City after a courageous battle against brain cancer. Funeral services will be 2pm Monday, October 27th at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Avon Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Melody is survived by her parents Debra Lees and Don Lees; her sisters Adell Lees and Breanna Lees; her brothers Joshua Perryman and Jordan Perryman; her grandpa and grandma Bob and Karen Petefish; her grandpa Ed Perryman; many other uncles, aunts, cousins and friends and her Morris Elementary family.
Melody was a beautiful girl whom will be missed by all those she touched.

Our son was in the same class as Melody. She will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Although, I don't know you my heart is heavy for your loss. We lost our nine year old little boy, Jace on August 19th of this year to brain cancer. I pray for your comfort and peace. The days will be hard - very hard. It still very new to us, however when I read about your daughter I just wanted to let you know that I care. Take it minute by minute - I know your arms are empty. What a beautiful girl!
