Douglas A. Hill
January 06, 2019
Douglas A. Hill, 33, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a 2-year battle with brain cancer. Doug was born June 15, 1985 in Denver, Colorado to Scot and Lisa Hill.
Doug was a great husband, amazing son and doting father. He had a passion for all things Star Wars, but his three girls meant the world to him. He enjoyed spending his free time watching Star Wars on Thanksgiving, building Legos with his girls and playing with his three cats. Doug was also a great friend who would do whatever he could to support his friends, whether that meant helping them move, putting together their grill or whatever was needed. Doug was able to touch many people's lives as trainer for Wells Fargo. He created many long lasting friendships with those he worked closely with.
He is survived by his loving wife and his Princess Leia, Christina; beautiful daughters, Elizabeth, Avigayil and Lilli; parents, Scot and Lisa Hill; siblings, Chad, Danielle (Gabe) and Samantha (Russ); maternal grandmother, Cathy (Denny) Cushman; paternal grandparents, Leo (Marilyn) Hill and Lilli (Lou) Carrillo; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Doug was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Henry Steinhoff.
A celebration of Doug’s life will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Compass Financial Services, 4801 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA.
Memorials may be directed to the family and condolences expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

You will be missed by so many; however, your memory still lives and we all know you are still caring for each of us, especially your family and all your girls. Prayers to the family at this time and forever to keep remembering Doug as the wonderful person he was and how he touched each of our lives.
