Dayton Cady

Dayton Paul Cady, passed away January 8, 2019, in Des Moines, Iowa surrounded by his loving family. He fought a hard battle with cancer and never gave up because he was a true fighter.

Dayton was born in Des Moines to his parents Christiane Cady and Thomas Adams. From the time he was a baby, he loved sports. He ran track, cross country, and played basketball for Saydel High School where he was a senior. He also was an avid Hawkeyes and Packers fan. GO PACK GO!

Dayton had a love for food! He loved eating, cooking, and watching food channels. Sushi was on the top of his list! He also liked gaming- Fortnite was his favorite!

Dayton is survived by his father, Tom (Shawn “Shawmee”) Adams; mother, Christiane Cady; sister, Gracelyn Cady; brother, Dustin Adams; grandparents, Paul and Sally Cady and Patricia Kuntz; aunts and uncles, Patty (Brian), Tim (Brittany), and Chuck (Tina); many cousins and bonus grandma, Earllynn Cross.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, January 14, 2019, at Capitol City Church, 5990 NE 14th St., Des Moines. Family will greet visitors from 5 to 7 p.m., on Sunday at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.
