John Cunconan, 63, passed away on February 12, 2019 in Des Moines. He was born in Des Moines, on December 28, 1955, to Edward and Jean Cunconan.
John enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and taking in nature’s beauty. He worked at Firestone, then went on to being a truck driver traveling the entire length of the United States.
John is survived by his children, Ned (Sheena) Cunconan and Carie Steinkamp; grandchild Tayler; mom, Jean Cunconan; sisters, Carol (Jim) O’Leary, Laurie (Brad) Wilson and Christine Shelton; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward; sisters, Kathy Dunsky and Diane Miklus.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. in Des Moines.

Jean,Lori and all the Cunconan family :my heart breaks for you all at this sad time! I remember Jean and I would visit at All Saints as our children went there for school and Lori I see at my Drs office ! I too lost our son Donnie in 2011so I know a little what you are going through! .God Bless! Pauline Steinbach DM
