Randall "Red" D. Risius

Randall Dee Risius, also known to his family and friends as “Red”, passed away peacefully Friday, May 10, 2019 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. He was 63 years old.

Red was born December 25, 1955 in Kansas City, Kansas. He was the son of Ralph and Loris (Cordle) Risius and one of seven children. He moved to Iowa in his childhood and graduated from high school in Indianola, Iowa. Red worked for Winderford Law doing pre-assembly for three years. He loved to fish and would fish any pond he could find, but his favorite was Rock Creek. His favorite pastime was spending time with family at fishing holes in the area. He also liked watching western movies, The Price Is Right, and watching movies in the Bourne series.

He is survived by his siblings, Roberta Sample, Jim Sample, Bill Sample, Timmy Sanford and Ron Risius as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews.

Red was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Loris Risius and his brother Howard “Rusty” Risius.

Red will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered at his favorite fishing spot. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
